ive been tossing up the idea of a blown 347 , or turbocharing a 347 im getting the 347 stroker kit, keeping the motor carb'ed.. just wondering if i put a turbokit on a 347 stroker if it will work, and how much more work would i need to do then putting a blower on, We are considering a 331 or 347 for our 85GT. If we use the head/cam combo we are considering on a 331 we would be spinning it a max of 6200-6500. Will the stock 5.0 block handle that OK? Would a main girdle help tie the bottom end together and make it a tad more ridgid? The kit we were considering uses a Scat series 9000 cast steel 28oz crank and Scat 4340 cap-screw I-Beam rods and Probe pistons.
